Our Favourite Treatments for Spring

Posted by Cedars Dermatology, 21st May 2020

With warmer, sunnier weather to enjoy, you’ll no doubt be showing more skin than usual. Here at Cedars Dermatology, in Northwood and other locations close to London, we carry out confidence-boosting, life-enhancing skincare and aesthetics treatments on a daily basis – and love both the results we can create, and the joy we can bring out in our clients. Here are our favourites for spring.

Fillers

Nothing plumps, boosts and moisturises skin quite like dermal fillers. We can shape and sculpt your facial contours to give you a more youthful appearance, and can enhance your best features while smoothing away deep lines. This aesthetic treatment is only growing in popularity, and can even be used to volumise and define your lips.

IPL

Many of our clients think of us first and foremost as a laser skin clinic – and this laser skin treatment is ideal for pressing reset on skin. It can improve the appearance of birthmarks, freckles and thread veins; settle rosacea redness; and tackle pigmentation problems, including freckles and melasma. It’s even thought that there’s a link between IPL and anti-ageing, as this laser skin treatment may cause skin to contract and tighten.

Dermatology

Although we’re a specialist laser skin clinic, we’re also experts in dermatology. From acne treatments to rosacea treatments, we can help improve the appearance of your skin and may be able to settle redness, soreness and irritation.

Botox

Another treatment associated with improving signs of ageing such as crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles, botox also has some medical uses – such as for treating excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). When it comes to your skin, we understand that you want it to look and feel its best, and botox may be able to help with this (subject to a consultation).

A final word…

Whatever you’re thinking of doing this spring, when it comes to skin, it’s important to stay hydrated and sun-protected at all times – especially if you’re showing more skin than usual due to warmer weather. Protective hats and clothing, SPF skincare or make-up and keeping out of the sun when at its strongest can help combat ageing, dryness and could even help protect you against skin cancer.
