Children’s Dermatology

Paediatric dermatology encompasses skin, hair and nail problems affecting children, including newborns and infants.

Some of these conditions are more common in children, and some only affect children. A few of these are listed below:

  • Atopic dermatitis (also called eczema).
  • Birthmarks, including port-wine stains.
  • Psoriasis.
  • Skin disease that a child is born with.
  • Skin infections including molluscum contagiosum
  • Vitiligo.
  • Warts.

We are able to carry diagnose and treat many childhood skin problems, and can also carry out certain surgical and laser treatments on children.
